INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION

The International Arbitration Commission is composed of lawyers who practice international commercial arbitration and international investment arbitration in different jurisdictions.

The Commission mainly focuses on the development of international arbitration law, in particular, new trends in arbitration law and practice.

It also works in co-operation with other commissions when its subject matter comes into play with other areas of law.

The Commission’s work is supervised by a Steering Committee made up of six members from different jurisdictions:

• Patricia Ann Peterson
• Anne-Carole Cremades

In addition to the annual UIA Congress programme, the Commission frequently organises and participates in UIA seminars on international arbitration and related topics and facilitates publications, such as the Practical Guide for Parties, Counsel and Arbitrators on Economic Sanctions and Arbitration.
