Our commission deals with transport and maritime law issues.

The Commission’s activities principally cover pressing topics ranging from liability regime of the carrier to also resolution of disputes concerning detention and demurrage charges, as well as cargo claims, without forgetting issues as vital as those embracing the impact of emerging technologies and sustainability on transport sector.

The working sessions at the annual UIA Congress, as well as other seminars held throughout the year, involve highly qualified practitioners and academics from different jurisdictions, who focus on current transport law issues, outlining the ways forward to tackle the challenges affecting the transport sector.
