The UIA is pleased to cordially invite you to the UIA Forum on “International Protection of Refugees and Challenges in the Field - the Perspective of Legal Practitioners”.

The event will be held on June 1, 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland, in connection with the UIA Bar Leaders’ Briefing.

Speakers will include Ms. Maya Sahli-Fadel, Commissioner and Special Rapporteur on Refugees, Asylum Seekers, Internally Displaced Persons and Migrants in Africa; Ms. Carole Simone Dahan, UNHCR Senior Legal Advisor; Philip Worthington, Project Manager of the European Lawyers in Lesbos Project; and legal practitioners with extensive experience and expertise on refugee law issues. The practitioners will share with participants first-hand accounts of the practical difficulties representing and defending the rights of refugees and migrants all over the world.
