UIA Condemns Attack on U. S. Capitol

UIA is appalled by the attack on the Rule of Law that occurred in the United States on January 6.

Our association has always supported the Rule of Law everywhere around the world and was shocked to see the President of the United States foment insurrection. We watched in horror as his followers attacked American institutions of democracy. We join in the sentiments expressed by our friend, the President of our sister organization the American Bar Association, in condemning the actions of the rioters (see here), and we demand a full accounting of all who were responsible for this inexcusable and dangerous assault on the Rule of Law.
